welcome to the organic knowledge institute
The Organic Knowledge Institute is an association of organizations, experts, and individuals united in the discovery, understanding, and organization of information, meaning, and knowledge. Members of the institute are currently collaborating on the discovery, documentation, and unification of the principles, methodologies, and standards in these fields.
In the second half of the 20th century, the study of, and the actual process of the organization of information, knowledge, and meaning fragmented into an incredibly vast group of disciplines spanning fields such as philosophy, mathematics, business, biology, computer science, psychology, and neural-science.
These disparate groups of scientists approached the inquery of knowledge, information, meaning, and organization from completely different perspectives - simultaneously addressing many of the same fundamental questions.
What is the nature of information?
What is the nature of meaning?
What is the nature of knowledge?
How can we organize, represent, and model such concepts?
How can we standardize, utilize, and extend such concepts?
